Walking home in the rain last night & a kind of melancholy Monday

My camera couldn’t quite capture the rain under the light. It looked really lovely. Looks kind of lovely anyhow.

Thoughts, however, this morning are of the ~ 180 people drowned of Java who were attempting to seek asylum in Australia.

Shame on the Australian Government, shame on anyone who voted for them – and shame on all of us for not doing enough to speak out against the Federal Government’s outrageously inhumane ‘border protection’ policy measures. These people deserved solidarity, support and shelter. No less.

  1. We will not learn from our mistakes until the revolution comes…until then, we are only doomed to repeat them😦

  2. I’m not so sure Punko – I think there is a lot that can be done in the meantime.
