The first “Yolŋu Nations Assembly (YNA)” was held at Galiwin’ku Island in NE Arnhem Land over a few days from the 14th-17th October.
I cannot personally confirm exactly how many people attended nor whether all clan-groups were represented but the media is reporting that most clans were represented by one or more delegates.
This is something to follow. Yolŋu are particularly insightful when it comes to intercultural politics.
