A. –  Papers, photos, field-work stuff and person effects in suitcase. Containment and order.

B. –  Small print of old poster promoting my home state of ‘Western Australia’ bought at a junk-shop in Donnybrook for $2.

C. –  Card from my little sissy from last year. Had a tiny sachet of seeds enclosed which grew into a beautiful flowering annual.

D. –  Old wedding invitation from my brother and CC.

E. –  Journal articles and chapter drafts etc. etc.

F. –  A ‘jig’ for writing: key themes to thread through chapters.

G. – Genealogies scrawled on butcher paper from the field that I should really take better care of.
